Heart of the Farm – Women in Agriculture ‘Coffee Chat’ series

Madison, Wis. – University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, Heart of the Farm-Women in Agriculture will be hosting it’s 3rd Coffee Chat, January 11th, 2021 from 10:00– 11:00 a.m. The online Heart of the Farm Coffee Chats run on the 2nd Monday of the month through March 2021, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

During this session, Gary Sipiorski, will be speaking on Tax Preparation Issues and Concerns. As we all know, the month of January often brings thoughts of taxes and tax preparation. Gary will focus on issues specific to farm tax returns so those listening may gain a better understanding of what to think about regarding farm tax preparation and be able to ask better questions with their tax advisor.

Gary has served in several capacities throughout his career, among them an agricultural loan officer, President/CEO at Citizens State Bank of Loyal where he is currently on the Board of Directors. He spent 11 years as Dairy Development Director for Vita Plus, Corporation. Actively involved in the state of Wisconsin, Gary has done business primarily with dairy producers. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program, state and national director of the Independent Community Bankers of America and chair on the national agricultural committee. Gary has also chaired the advisory board of the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and is an emeritus member of the Board of Visitors advisory board for the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Agriculture and Life Science.

The Heart of the Farm-Women in Agriculture Coffee Chats series is an Extension program that addresses the needs of farm women by providing education on farm business topics, connecting them with agricultural resources and creating support networks.
