Graduating Senior Scholarships

4-H Leaders Association

Due March 1st. The La Crosse County 4-H Leaders Association will award up to 5 scholarships of $300 each to current high school senior 4-H members who have been active for at least 5 years and will be pursuing a post-secondary education in the following Fall. WI 4-H Scholarship

Due March 1st. For the application form, specific scholarship information, and complete instructions about what to include in the application documents, 4-H youth can visit https://4h.extension.wisc.edu/opportunities/wisconsin-4-h-scholarships/. Eligible seniors and 4-H alumni must submit applications electronically to our review committee no later than 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2026. Applicants who are awarded scholarships will be notified via email by mid-May.

Agricultural Society

Due April 1st via mail. The La Crosse County Agricultural Society will award 2 scholarships of varying amounts to current high school seniors who participate in the La Crosse Interstate Fair, are active 4-H/FFA members and will be enrolled in post-secondary education in the following Fall. Shooting Sports Scholarship

Due June 15th via mail or email to the Extension Office (212 6th St N, Suite 2200, La Crosse). The La Crosse County 4-H Shooting Sports Project will award 2 scholarships of varying amounts to current high school juniors and seniors who participate in the La Crosse County 4-H Shooting Sports Project. State Fair Dairy Promotion Board

Due February 1st via email. The Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board is offering $1,000 scholarships to students that will be 3rd or 4th year college students during the academic year. Applicants must be Wisconsin residents enrolled full-time at a 4-year Wisconsin school and be pursuing a dairy-related or food science degree. Western Wisconsin Beef Producers

Due April 1st via mail. The Western Wisconsin Beef Producers will award $300 scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to end post-secondary education. Applicants must be or have an immediate family member that is in good standing of the Cooperative and be pursing education on an agricultural-related field. Horse Association

Due March 1st via mail. The Wisconsin 4-H Horse Association will award up to 6 scholarships to high school seniors or 1st year post-secondary students who have participated in the 4-H Horse & Pony Project for at least 4 consecutive years. Wisconsin Pork Association

Due December 1st via mail. The Wisconsin Pork Association will award scholarships to high school seniors pursuing post-high school education. Preference is given to individuals who have been involved in and possess a sincere interest in the pork industry. Wisconsin Towns Association

Due May 23, 2026 via mail. The Wisconsin Towns Association will be awarding $7,000 in scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2025 from either a public or proviate high school in Wisconsin that plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2026. The winners are determined by independent judging of an essay contest. The essay should address the topic: “What are the 3 top priorities your local town government officials should pursue to improve the quality of life in your community?” For more information visit: https://www.wisctowns.com/resources/scholarship/

Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation (WROF) Premir Scholarship Awards Program!

WROF, Inc. will present $3,000 scholarships to seven outstanding high school graduating seniors.The awards will help cover tuition and educational expenses for post-secondary education in Wisconsin. Scholarship requirements include the following: High school seniors must have lived in rural Wisconsin for at least two years, currently attend school in Wisconsin, and plan to return to their rural roots upon graduation. John and Isabelle Ames Memorial Scholarship – current college sophomore/junior

This scholarship, established in memory of John and Isabelle Ames of Ames-Way Holsteins in Darien, Wisconsin, is a $750 award, to be released to the recipient upon proof of registration for classes for the upcoming semester. Academic achievement, need, community/school involvement, and current and future goals will all be taken into consideration. Evidence of the applicants contribution toward financing his/her own education is important. Mr. and Mrs. Ames were avid supporters of education. All nine of their children received a college degree, which was a source of pride for them. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment toward completion of a degree.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be currently or recently involved in 4-H, FFA, and/or the Registered Holstein industry.
  • Applicants must be a college sophomore or junior enrolled full-time and attending classes in-person while pursing a four-year degree in any field.
  • Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
  • This scholarship will not be awarded to a previous recipient.
